The first ladies of the world took the solution of the problem of children’s safety in their hands.
The most influential women of the world: queens of Sweden and Belgium, the spouse of the American, Egyptian and Polish presidents, and also Lyudmila Putina and Valentine Matvienko gathered in Paris on the 17th of January. Honored guests were played host by the wife of the president of France Bernadet Shirak. She has also opened the session of the International centre of protection of children from the exploitation and the kidnappings.
The governor of St. Petersburg shared the experience of the solution of these problems in the Northern capital:
- In St. Petersburg there are created 19 commissions on affairs of minors and their protection against violence in family.
Matvienko told about the Maloohotinskij house of diligence opened in St. Petersburg for the children left their homes, involved in the prostitution or minor girls undergone to violence. And also about the social – rehabilitation centre "Fiodor" for juvenile victims of the drug trade and the pornobussines.
- “But it is impossible to solve the problem without the unification of the international efforts in this direction.” – called for cooperation the governor of Saint-Petersburg the first ladies and queens gathered on the session. As a result the ladies accepted a declaration – some kind of an appeal to the world community to unit their efforts in the struggle against the violence above children. One of the projects of the declaration is to begin the introduction of the general European telephone number of a hot line 116000 on questions of disappearance of children. It is to begin to work soon.
